Letter from the President

Greetings NSRT Members and Friends!,

The summer often brings thoughts of hot weather, cookouts, and pool parties, but perhaps no so often thoughts of NSRT happenings and events. Rest assured that your NSRT board of directors is still hard at work even through the summer months. During the month of June, the NSRT sent two affiliate delegates to represent you, the member, at the ASRT House of Delegates and Governance meeting. Delegates listen to issues from around the United States, and vote on items that affect you, the technologist. Check out the NSRT website (www.nsrt.net) in the coming months for a report of those events.

I would also like to encourage you to check out the NSRT website and to mark your calendar for this year’s events. We will once again offer two Education Saturday opportunities as well as our 3-Day Annual Conference event. Tell your technologist friends and invite them to come along this year, we’d love to meet them!

During my year as president, I plan to keep the membership informed about the happenings in our state. There were some changes in our state legislation this past year, and I will be watching how these changes affect our profession very closely, as the year passes. You can follow our Facebook page for the most up-to-date information.

I have been a member of the NSRT since I was a student technologist. I was mentored by other NSRT members and taught the importance of being a part of a professional society. Now, I try to do the same for those around me. Our society plays an important part in keeping our professional standards high, and our patients and loved ones safe and protected. I thank you for your continued contribution to our profession.

I wish you all the best for the remainder of the summer, and throughout this upcoming year. I hope to see many of you at our upcoming events, and please do not hesitate to contact me with questions, comments, and concerns during my term as President of the NSRT.
